This was our fourth stay at the Centara Karon Beach Resort and it seemed to lack the atmosphere of previous visits. May staff have left or been replaced and many of the new lacked customer relations and interest. Breakfast is buffet and quite adequate however self service for coffee etc and no muesli detracted. The breakfast reception was poor and you often had to wait fairly long while they tried to find a table although it was clear several were vacant. Queuing for eggs very slow. Happy hours at the pool have changed to 5pm to 7pm (it was 4-6) and lack of people was evident which certainly detracted the atmosphere. Drink prices also appear to have risen. We had several mistakes with our bill and were key locked out of our room prior to our departure (their error). Room was adequately maintained. One of the 3 swimming pools was dirtied by someone and it took far to long for the matter to be rectified. Overall still a good resort however we were disappointed and will probably go elsewhere next time <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span>
